ACC TRANSFORMERS RITE OF PASSAGE EXPERIENCE (R.O.P.E) DC YOUTH PROGRAM
"The Lifeline for Youth EoTR"
"The Lifeline for Youth EoTR"
TransformersDC, in partnership with Anacostia Coordinating Council & the Department of Behavioral Health, are educating youth about the dangers of opioid use, strategies for prevention, and how to make better decisions for the future.
Join our FREE Rite of Passage Experience (ROPE) program! The ACC Transformers ROPE program offers youth ages 12-18 from Wards 7 & 8 opportunities to engage in a range of exciting activities, including:
Parents are able to sign up their children with a host of organizations that best meet their needs. TransformersDC also hosts programs specifically tailored for parents, including yoga, art therapy, professional coaching, and more! Get more information about specific programs here!
The Transformers Rite of Passage Experience (R.O.P.E.) program can help District youth discover their strengths, character, and personal gifts. It can also help them understand their feelings and thoughts, as well as how to better act on them.
The Transformers R.O.P.E. program can help youth crystallize their search for identity and purpose, while helping them create a story about who they are and the kind of life they want to build, based on their values. This can help to strengthen them to take responsibility for the decisions that will ultimately shape their future.
Transformers R.O.P.E. helps young people build skills and knowledge that will help them succeed as young adults. For example, we work on helping youth develop decision making skills that can help them avoid dangerous behaviors especially engaging in violence and taking drugs.
The Transformers R.O.P.E. program can help to mark the transition from one stage of life to another, such as from elementary school to junior high. Caring adults can help young people build bridges between who they were, who they are, and who they are becoming; a much-needed process for healthy development.
Transformers R.O.P.E. helps youth build community and connect with others. We work to help them learn what it means to be a contributing member of their family and community.
